Photography by Concetta Rotillio

Jun 03, 2015

Concetta is a talented Italian self-taught photographer and fashion designer currently working in Dusseldorf. Her work is inspired by people’s gestures: “I am fascinated with people, the way they look when they are lost in thoughts, when they become angry or serious, when they bite their lips, the way they glance, when they are alone smoking a cigarette, the way they try to hold back tears, when their face says they want to say something but they can’t, and I especially love people in unusual moments when they think nobody is watching them because it is in those moments that they really show themselves.”

As a result of these observations Concetta creates powerful images that show with irony the dark side of life.
