Photography by Harold McNaron

Apr 09, 2015

Harold is an American artist living and working in Portland, OR, who switched over from drawing and painting street-folk art to composing collage in 2008. Collages are fascinating as they can transport us to impossible worlds; surreal environments imagined by creative minds like Harold’s.  His compositions are simple, audacious and truly harmonious, which in turn help us to create unique stories around them. On his own words: “I appreciate the restriction of only working with already-produced photos, text & color swatches. I collage to commune with others (like the “elephant colors” collaboration with Armand Brac), to reclaim trashed images, and to reframe my world.”
