Photography by Tina Kazakhishvili

Jun 04, 2015

Tina is an architect and photographer from Georgia. Her work is profound, intimate and intense at the same time. For instance, with her series “Mental Hospital” (first pictures shown here) Tina reveals a world unknown to many of us, demonstrating a great ability to capture the life of those who we call mad.

Tina approaches photography without prejudices and photographs what she sees, worries about or likes: “I shoot all that spontaneously, mostly always spontaneously, without any preparation in advance and without making analysis, because I hardly ever make planned photos.”

In addition we must say that Tina is one of those persons with a privileged and well trained eye composing the images directly on the spot as they revel to her: “…the thing is that I never chose anything, I never plan composition…”
